Larry King & Wife Slam Rumors Of Her Alleged Affair In Shocking Interview

The lesson of the day is this: don’t make Larry King mad or he will shut you down like a boss. The veteran newscaster and his wife, Shawn King, blasted the accusations that she cheated on him, dissing these claims as mere ‘rumors.’ 
Larry, 82, and Shawn, 56, sat down with Mark Steines, 52, and Debbie Matenopoulos, 41, for the Aug. 25 episode of Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show, per US Weekly, when Mark asked about the “rumors” that Shawn had cheated behind Larry’s back for more than a year.


“You said an interesting word – ‘rumor,'” Larry said. “I’ve been in the business – next May, it’ll be 60 years – and I’ve dealt with rumors [for] a long time. Interviewed people involved with rumors.” Larry waved off this talk that his wife of 19-years has been unfaithful. “Rumors are what they are,” he said. “They’re rumors. And I tell you the truth, I don’t pay any attention to them.”

Shawn also chimed in on this talk that she’s been unfaithful. “Last week, there was a rumor going around about Larry and the speech he made in Kiev. This week, I’m the latest pinup girl,” she said. “You just have to develop a shell around yourself and not get hard on the inside, and just stick together.”

They literally put the affair rumor to bed, as the two (after demonstrating how they make their bed every morning) got onto their mattress and wrapped their arms around each other. “All those rumors, we’re going to put them to rest right now!” said Debbie.

Shawn and Larry were married in 1997 (his eighth wife) and the rumors of her infidelity began after the National Enquirer reported she carried a yearlong affair with an unnamed lover, per Page Six. Shawn allegedly sent naked pictures and “enjoyed steamy sex sessions with her sweetie.” Larry and Shawn’s lawyers trashed the story as “inaccurate” and it seems that after nearly two decades together, their love is still going strong.
