Prince William and Kate visit Luton as royal couple appear in public for first time in month

Prince William and Kate have appeared in public together today for the first time in a month on a day out in Luton.

The royal couple have enjoyed a summer holiday in France and been spending time in their Norfolk home since their last official engagement on July 24 in Portsmouth.

But it's back to royal duties as they visited organisations helping to improve young people's mental health this morning.

Later today they will take a tour of a hospice and present an industry award on behalf of The Queen.

The day began with a visit to Bute Mills, home to Luton-based national youth charity Youthscape following a £3.2 million renovation.

The Duke and Duchess, both 34, met staff from organisation CHUMS to discuss how they support people dealing with or affected by suicide.

Wills and Kate will also be busy next week with a two-day visit to Cornwall and the Scilly Isles.

The first time Kate wore the gorgeous dress was in 2014, on the fourth day of the royal tour Down Under.

Kate looked as glam as ever as she disembarked from the flight at RAAF Amberley.

She managed to look cool and comfortable in the dress despite the searing heat.

To complement the dress, the Duchess was seen holding a smart blue clutch by the Australian brand Oroton.

Kate won widespread admiration for her fashion choices, including the chic shift dress, on the royal tours of New Zealand and Australia.
