A cowardly internet troll has been locked up for refusing to accept her punishment for threatening to stab a 12-year-old girl.

Jade Jackson howled as she was jailed for eight months for failing to complete unpaid work or meet social workers for court ordered counselling.

The 21-year-old yob had dodged custody for telling the schoolgirl she would knife her during a Facebook row.

But she was hauled into Paisley Sheriff Court for a case review and will spend the rest of the year behind bars, reports the Daily Record.

Sheriff Thomas Fyfe told her: “In my view, the patience of the court is exhausted.
