Carvajal Wishes Morata The Best At Atletico

Dani Carvajal is wishing his former Madrid teammate, Alvaro Morata all the best as he nears a move to Atletico.

The Spain international striker will join the bitter rivals of his boyhood club, on an 18-month loan, with an option to buy.

Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in 2017, but failed to make an impression over the past year, and will be returning to Spain.

Carvajal insists he has no hard feelings against the 26-year-old, who is a product of the Madrid youth system.

“They are decisions of each player. I do not judge him,” Madrid full-back Carvajal told reporters following Sunday’s 4-2 win against Espanyol.

“If he is happy at Atletico, I am happy for him. He is my friend and I wish him the best.

“I’m happy for him because in England he did not have many opportunities

“We just hope he does not have a good game against us [On February 9].”
