The Nasarawa State chapter of the People Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday, rejected the result of the just concluded governorship and state Assembly elections conducted in the state.
Francis Orogu, the state PDP chairman, who rejected the result during a press briefing, said he was disappointed with the returning officer who supposed to be neutral during the process but rather participated in the alleged manipulation of the result during the election.
Orogu said the state chapter of the party would make consultation regarding their stolen mandate and follow it until the court of competent jurisdiction proves them wrong.
“We as a party are going to followed it until the court proves us wrong; we are in consultation to seek justice of our robbed mandate. We are not going on violent but justice must prevail.
“The so-called inconclusive that was pronounced by INEC if we have choice we wouldn’t have participate but we have no choice.
“But since we don’t have choice , I am calling on the election umpire to remain independent as the claimed so that electorates can choose candidate of their choice because most of the areas that INEC declared inconclusive are areas of PDP’s stronghold; INEC just choose to declared it inconclusive,” he said.
He said the election that was conducted in Nasarawa State IINEC was bad and that such election had ever been done in the history of the.
Orogu, however, called on PDP supporters to remain law abiding and come out en-mass to vote candidates of the party in the remaining inconclusive election in the state.
