Father-of-two managing director, 43, is jailed for six years for having an affair with girl, 14

A managing director who abused a 14-year-old schoolgirl after meeting her on a website where users rate each other as 'snog, marry or avoid' has been jailed.

Paedophile Gareth Hughes, from Stockport, was 36 when he told his victim he was 10 years younger when he met her on Snog.fm, a website popular with teenagers.

He then started Skype conversations with the girl before picking her up from school and taking her to his flat for sex, which he filmed and saved on his computer in a file called 'filth'.

The abuse continued until the girl was 18, during which time she even wrote a story about sexual abuse in her English class.

The prosecutor said: 'When the teacher asked the girl what the inspiration was she said: "Isn't it obvious I have been raped?"'

After she turned 18, the girl realised what Hughes had put her through. She told her family what had happened after Hughes came around for dinner and the father of two, now 43, was arrested. He has now been jailed for six years and eight months.

The court heard the girl was one of three victims Hughes abused, one of two he met through Snog.fm. He groomed and picked her up for sex at a time his partner was expecting their baby.
