Real Madrid 'will offer Manchester United Gareth Bale in effort to sweeten a deal

Read Madrid are willing to offer Gareth Bale to Manchester United in a potential deal for Paul Pogba.

The Spanish giants are desperate for Pogba to join Eden Hazard at the Bernabeu and are planning to step up their pursuit of him.

Hazard's £150million deal to Madrid was concluded on Friday evening and Zinedine Zidane is now determined to make Pogba his next capture.

According to The Mirror, Zidane is ready to include Bale - who has been made surplus to requirements - to sweeten a deal for Pogba.

United are reluctant to sell the French midfielder and recently slapped a £130m price tag on him.

However, their heads could be turned if Bale was to be incorporated into the deal with the club understood to have previously held an interest in the forward.

The Welshman is expected to leave Madrid this summer, having been told by Zidane he does not feature in his immediate first-team plans.

Pogba, meanwhile, is also rumoured to be angling for an exit after growing frustrated at United's failure to stage a challenge for the Premier League.
