7.30am starts in Dubai, a specialist workout plan designed by Manchester United and injury prevention gym work

Daniel James didn't need to go to Dubai last week to improve his fitness ahead of pre-season training.

The new Manchester United signing, who reported back for duty at Carrington on Monday, was already match sharp following his performances with Wales in the European qualifiers.

But he chose to head to Jumeirah beach of his own accord to try and get ahead following his £15million move from Swansea.

It's that ambition and drive that means for fitness team Kaizen 3 Performance, he is by far and away the most exciting player that they have worked with.

'We've worked with so many players that have potential but just want to rely on their ability,' Dan Edwards, a football technician with K3P, tells Sportsmail.

'Whereas he's got the mentality and the attitude to go where he wants to. He's already fit from being with Wales. He's sharp. We could tell from the first session.

'He contacted us himself, it wasn't through an agent, it wasn't through Manchester United, he obviously wants to improve and be as sharp as possible for when he joins United.

'For a player to want to do that - when it's normally agents that will contact us - it speaks for itself.'
