SENEGAL

Senegal moved to within 90 minutes of just a second Africa Cup of Nations final appearance after they held off Benin’s challenge and will have their sights firmly set on lifting the trophy for the first time.
Everton’s Isrissa Gueye was the hero as his second half goal separated the teams and another strong defensive display saw the Senegalese keep another clean sheet meaning they have only conceded one goal from their five games so far.

After constantly chopping and changing their side throughout the tournament, it is difficult to foresee what team Aliou Cisse will field for the semi-final but he does have plenty of options at his disposal with several big talents not even appearing from the bench against Benin.
TUNISIA

Tunisia finally came to the party at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as they won their first game in 90 minutes following drawing all of their previous contests as they swept aside Madagascar to progress to the last-four.
After a goalless first half, Tunisia proved too strong for the surprise package of the tournament as Ferjani Sassi, Youssef Msakni and Naim Sliti all found the back of the net in the 3-0 win.
This will be Tunisia’s first Africa Cup of Nations semi-final since 2004 and will look to Wahbi Zhazri to once again pull the strings after he was reinstated to the starting line-up in the quarter-final.

THE PREDICTION
Senegal and Tunisia meet in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in what should be a superb contest. The Tunisians have taken some time to get going in this competition but finally clicked into gear when defeating Madagascar with a great second half display in their last-eight clash. Senegal will pose a different threat for them and if their standards slip, they will be in for a long night. The Senegalese have plenty of talent in their squad and their strong defence should be able to hold firm again to help guide their team to the final.
