Manchester United sign Norwegian 14-year-old wonderkid Isak Hansen-Aaroen in £90,000 deal

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Norwegian teenager Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Tromso.

The 14-year-old opted to sign for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team ahead of Liverpool and Everton after spending time on trial at all three clubs.

Manchester United have agreed a fee of £90,000 for him while Aidan Barlow has gone the other way on a season-long loan to Norway.

Sportsmail reported in May that United had agreed to sign Hansen-Aaroen after visiting United's training ground complex.

The Premier League club revived talks over the teenager back in January. Their position was strengthened by the fact national hero Solskjaer was doing so well as manager and the central midfielder is a United fan.

Hansen-Aaroen is also understood to be represented by Solskjaer's agent Jim Solbakken.

He spent time with Liverpool in October 2017 before Manchester United invited him to training several times throughout 2018 after spotting him at the Audi Cup.

The Norway Under 15 international must wait until August 22 next year, when he turns 16, to complete the move due to FIFA regulations over young players.

Tromso sports manager Svein-Morten Johansen said: 'We think this is very exciting because we cooperate with a big club and we have already developed a good cooperation, and this has now materialised in that we borrow Barlow.

'It will be interesting to see his level up against our own boys at the same age, but we know we will get a very good player.

'This could be the start of a long-term collaboration that can give us a lot. We already have a very good dialogue.

'It means a lot to us and even though we now get a player, the most important thing is maybe we get close to them and gain new knowledge.'
