Edo govt announces discharge of 2 coronavirus patients

The Government of Edo State has announced the discharge of 2 more coronavirus patients in the State.

The announcement was made by the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki in a tweet via his Twitter account on Friday, stating that the patients were discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.

The tweet read “My dear Edo people, we have just discharged 2 more COVID19 patients after they tested negative twice for the virus.
“This brings the number of patients managed and discharged from our isolation centres to 12.

“We seek your support as we intensify efforts to contain the pandemic.

“Residents are advised to stay home and stay safe.”
 


Meanwhile, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control on Thursday confirmed 381 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.

Nigeria now has 3,526 confirmed cases, 601 discharged patients, and 107 deaths recorded.
