A Lagos-based pastor, Prophet Williams Onuoha, has rained curses on Nigerian Army and Police for killing IPOB’s ESN commander, Ikonson.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, April 24, a tactical team of the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Army, and Department of State Services (DSS), in a joint operation early Saturday, stormed the operational headquarters of the ESN in Awomama, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, killing Ikonso and six members of the group.
Barely 24 hours after Ikonso’s death, IPOB announced new commander but declined to make his name public. Disclosing this when he appeared on Channels Tv, Sunday Politics, IPOB Secretary, Emma Powerful also denied ESN’s involvement of yesterday’s attack on Hope Uzodinma’s house.

The clergyman reacted to the turn of events while preaching in his church located in Ejigbo on Sunday April 25, as he blasted the Nigerian Army and the police for killing a commander of the IPOB’s Eastern Security Network, ESN. He prayed that for killing the ESN commander, the police and Army will ”know no peace and that people will also arise and kill them.”
