A man has admitted murdering and raping 15-year-old Kayleigh Haywood whose body was found dumped in a field after going missing for five days.
Stephen Beadman, 29, pleaded guilty via video-link when he appeared today at Leicester Crown Court.
After a huge police search Kayleigh's body was found in undergrowth near a lake after she went missing last November.
Luke Harlow, 27, appeared at the same hearing via video-link and pleaded guilty to one count of sexual grooming and two counts of sexual activity.
Both men denied one charge of false imprisonment and will stand trial at Nottingham Crown Court on June 8.
The popular teen was last seen on November 13 last year when her parents dropped her off outside Ibstock Community College.
Police discovered her body five days later near Sence Valley Forest Park after officers were drafted in from across the region to help with the search.
A post mortem revealed she had been raped before being battered with a blunt instrument.
