Kate is elegant in a Catherine Walker suit as she visits Holland on her first official overseas trip without her husband
The Duchess of Cambridge betrayed no hint of nerves this morning as she arrived in the Netherlands for her first solo foreign trip on official royal duties without William.
Kate, 34, looked elegant in a bespoke pale blue skirt suit by Catherine Walker as she met made a courtesy call to King Willem-Alexander.
In a break from her usual style she wore her brunette locks swept back in a chic bun, and accessorised with delicate pearl earrings.
Kate visited the King at Villa Eikenhorst, the royal residence he shares with wife Queen Maxima and their three daughters, Princesses Amalia, Alexia and Ariane.
The family home is on the forested De Horsten estate in Wassenaar, near The Hague, and, despite being a private residence, the Dutch monarch sometimes hosts foreign guests.
Kate will sit down for lunch with the King before attending a range of events in The Hague and Rotterdam, including a visit to an art exhibition of Old Masters to a round-table discussion on a variety of themes from addiction to mental health.
The one-day trip is a royal milestone for the Duchess as it's the first time she's travelled abroad by herself on official royal duties without William.
