PDP asks INEC, Saraki to declare Dariye’s seat vacant

More reactions have continued to trail the defection of Sen Joshua Dariye from the Peo­ples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Trust

The latest came from Dari­ye’s Senatorial District of the PDP, which on Monday asked the Senate President Bukola Saraki to declare his seat vacant.

The party  urged the Inde­pendent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to is­sue a certificate of return to Hon Alexander Molwus who came second during the par­ty’s primary election.

The appeal was made by the PDP Vice Chairman, Plateau Central Senato­rial District, Hon Benedict Shignuhul, in company of all LGA and Ward Chairmen from the five councils and 66 wards that make up the zone, which Sen Dariye

Shignuhu said Dariye’s penchant for cross carpeting to further his personal interest is well known and that the PDP in Plateau State has passed a vote of no confidence on him.
