BBC broadcaster Huw Edwards, 57, reveals how he shed an impressive three stone.

He's shed an impressive three stone over the past year.

Huw Edwards, 57, has now revealed he whipped himself into shape thanks to a strict suspension training schedule and twice weekly boxing sessions.

The Welsh broadcasting legend has been left disappointed by the public's reaction to his transformation, joking that he no longer gets any fan mail.

Huw told the Daily Mirror at the RTS Awards: 'The boxing training is going pretty well. I do my boxing two or three times a week.

'I do TRX too, but only once a week in the park otherwise people will think I am going completely mad.'

The BBC News at Ten host has enlisted the help of champion boxer Clinton McKenzie to train him, with Huw regularly sharing pictures from their sessions on his Instagram account.

TRX is a form of suspension training, using ropes to allow users to work against their own body weight.

The journalist lamented no longer getting much fan mail since shedding the pounds, slimming down to 13 stone.

'I don’t get fan mail anymore though. Letters don’t come. I used to have a bundle of mail to open every week', he laughed.

Hugh isn't too upset, however, since he's now considering an offer from Strictly Come Dancing, but worries he's too 'shy' for the process.
