Tottenham Hotspur's fears over Giovani Lo Celso picking up a long term injury during Argentina's friendly with Chile have been eased after he admitted he had no fitness concerns.
In a Los Angeles encounter that led to 10 yellow cards in a fiery goalless draw, Lo Celso was forced off the field in the 53rd minute having taken a heavy knock to the ankle.
The 23-year-old was left beating the turf in anguish having been caught by a Charles Aranguiz tackle on the ankle with a first half studs-up challenge.
But in addition, Spurs' £55million summer arrival from Real Betis was also claimed by the Argentine FA to have suffered a groin injury.
However, Lo Celso stressed later that his fitness following his substitution was not a concern, admitting: 'It was only a blow, nothing to worry about.'
Lo Celso has featured in Tottenham's last three Premier League games but has yet to start under Mauricio Pochettino.
