Taraji P Henson Announces Engagement To Ex-NFL Star Kelvin Hayden

Popular ‘Empire’ actress Taraji P. Henson has announced her engagement to NFL star Kelvin Hayden, after quietly dating for two years.

She made the announcement on her Instagram page on Monday morning with a photo of her sizable engagement ring (and some delicious desserts).

“I said yes y’all!!!” she wrote in the caption. Henson, 47, noted that Hayden, 34, first gifted her with a Cartier love bracelet as a Mother’s Day gift before popping the question. The actress is currently a mom to her 24-year-old son, Marcel Jordan.

“He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!! #sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!! #GODIS ,” Henson added.

The duo have kept their relationship on the down-low for nearly two years. It was only in December 2017 that the actress publicly addressed their relationship for the first time.
