Acting President, Osinbajo Sacks DSS Boss, Lawal Daura Over NASS Invasion

The Director-General of the Department of State Service, Lawal Daura, has been sacked by the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has sacked the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Lawal Daura.

 

Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle, @akandeoj.
 
He wrote,

“AgP Yemi Osinbajo has directed the termination of the appointment of the DG of the DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura.
 
"Mr. Daura has been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice."



It Was recalls that DSS operatives had in the early hours of today invaded premises of the national assembly, preventing lawmakers from initially gaining access to the premises. The lawmakers later gained access to the premises some hours later.
