Strictly's Katya and Neil Jones are branded 'inappropriate, rude and tasteless' for dancing in FAT SUITS

Strictly stars Katya and Neil Jones have been subject to criticism after shocking unearthed footage saw the husband and wife duo performing in fat suits.

The couple were competing in the Professional Latin World Show-dance Championship in Holland in 2014 when they were filmed throwing them into the controversial 'Fat ChaCha'.

Aside from the resurfaced controversy, the duo have been the hot topic of this year's show after the Russian dancer was spotted kissing her dance partner Seann Walsh before they were booted off the programme on Sunday night's episode.

Footage of the couple's controversial dance first came to light ahead of their debut on the show in 2016, in which fans were stunned by the 'insensitive dance'.

Katya was clad in a pink gown and Neil in a pinstripe suit as they danced in the competition while sporting the fat suits underneath. 

On a video of the dance shared on a a Latin American Dance fan page in January, commenters penned: 'the fat suits are slightly confusing...

'Great dancing but the fat costumes are beyond inappropriate. Rude... I hear their message and purpose but I think they went the wrong way to send the message...
